“Under Tinubu, married women are trading dignity for survival, children are turning to yahoo-yahoo, and families can’t feed. If this isn’t failure, what is?”

The Yoruba socio-political group, Ìgbìmò Májékóbájé Ilé-Yorùbá, has accused President Bola Tinubu of ruling with propaganda while citizens sink deeper into despair.

The group adds that Nigeria is in the grip of an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, with hunger and poverty driving millions into desperate survival measures.

In a hard-hitting statement signed by Olusola Badero and Princess Balogun, the group said extreme poverty has forced many married women into transactional relationships, while children are turning to “yahoo yahoo” just to survive.

They lamented that the dignity of the Yoruba nation has collapsed under harsh economic policies such as the fuel subsidy removal, worsening insecurity, and skyrocketing taxes.

“A government that cannot feed its people, protect its farmers, or secure its children has lost every moral right to remain in power. Tinubu has run out of ideas, and propaganda cannot hide the suffering in Nigerian homes,” the statement declared.

The union said many farmers have abandoned their lands due to terrorists, families have been torn apart by hardship, and countless children have dropped out of school. They warned that Tinubu’s so-called achievements amount to nothing more than punishing Nigerians with new taxes, while his government prioritises foreign trips over domestic welfare.

Finally, they called on Nigerians to register massively for the next elections and ensure Tinubu and his allies never return to power.
